The WP Racks plugin integrates with WooCommerce to streamline the process of receiving goods into your warehouse and assigning bins for storage. This section provides step-by-step instructions on how to receive goods, assign bins, and manage the storage locations effectively.
Accessing the Receiving Goods Page #
To start receiving goods, follow these steps:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to the Warehouses
- Click Manage
- Click on the “Receive goods” tab.
Receiving Goods #
Once you are on the receiving goods page, you will need to fill in the product details to book the items into your warehouse. Here’s how to do it:
- Enter Product Details: Fill in the product details such as:
- Product Name: The name of the product (e.g., Noise-Canceling Earbuds).
- SKU: The stock-keeping unit number.
- Batch Number: Enter the batch number for the product (e.g., 3712712).
- Supplier: Specify the supplier name (e.g., Blendas).
- Reference Number: Enter the reference number associated with the receipt of goods (e.g., WO12321444).
- Expiry Date: Set the expiry date for the product if applicable (e.g., 2024-07-25).
- Receiving Bay: Select the receiving bay where the goods will be initially received.
- Quantity: Enter the total quantity of the product being received (e.g., 160).
- Amount of Pallets: Specify the number of pallets (e.g., 4).
- Select a Rack and Level: Choose the rack and level where the product will be stored:
- Rack: Select the rack from the dropdown menu (e.g., Rack 1).
- Level: Select the level from the dropdown menu (e.g., Level 2).

Assigning Bins #
After entering the product details, you will be directed to the Assign Bins page. Here, you can assign specific bins for each pallet in the warehouse:
- Pallet IDs and QR Codes: The system generates unique Pallet IDs with QR codes for easy tracking and management.
- Assign Bin Locations: Use the dropdown menus to assign the rack and level for each pallet. You can adjust the bin locations as needed.
- Rack: Select the rack from the dropdown menu (e.g., Rack 1).
- Level: Select the level from the dropdown menu (e.g., Level 2).
- Bin ID: The bin ID is automatically generated based on the selected rack and level (e.g., 1-2-1).
- Submit: After assigning the bins, click the “Submit” button to finalize the storage locations for the received goods.
