In the WP Racks plugin, setting up warehouse bays is an essential part of managing your warehouse operations efficiently. Bays are specific areas designated for various functions such as receiving and dispatching goods. Here’s how to set up bays in your warehouse using the WP Racks plugin.
Adding a New Bay #
Follow these steps to add a new bay:
- Enter the Name of the Bay: Type the name of the new bay in the “Enter new bay” field.
- Select the Bay Color: Choose a color for the bay by clicking on the color selection box next to “Bay colour” and selecting your preferred color.
- Select the Bay Type: Click on the dropdown menu next to “Type” and choose the appropriate type for the bay (e.g., Receiving, Dispatch, etc.).
- Add the Bay: Click the “Add New Bay” button to add the new bay to your warehouse layout.
Editing or Deleting a Bay #
To manage existing bays, you can edit or delete them:
- Locate the Bay: In the list of existing bays, find the bay you want to edit or delete.
- Edit the Bay: Click on the “Edit” link next to the bay name. Update the necessary details and save your changes.
- Delete the Bay: Click on the “Delete” link next to the bay name. Confirm the deletion to remove the bay from your warehouse layout.

Here is an example configuration showing two bays set up in the WP Racks plugin:
- Receiving Bay: This bay is designated for receiving goods and is marked with a specific color for easy identification.
