The Search tab in the WP Racks plugin allows you to efficiently locate and manage products within your warehouse. This functionality is crucial for inventory management, enabling you to quickly find specific items, add them to picking lists, and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Accessing the Search Tab #
To use the search functionality, follow these steps:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to the Warehouses
- Click on Manage
- Click on the “Search” tab.
Searching for Products #
The search tab provides a comprehensive list of all products in your warehouse. You can use the search bar to filter products by various criteria such as bin location, product name, units, batch number, pallet ID, and expiry date.
Understanding the Search Results #
The search results are displayed in a table format with the following columns:
- Bin: The bin location of the product (e.g., 1-1-1).
- Product Name: The name of the product (e.g., Wireless Charger).
- Units: The quantity and weight of the product available (e.g., 200kg (40 units)).
- Batch: The batch number of the product (e.g., HSS2023).
- Pallet ID: The unique identifier for the pallet (e.g., 9497121).
- Expiry Date: The expiry date of the product (e.g., 2024-08-01).
- Action: Options to add products to the picking list.
Adding Products to Picking List #
You have two options to add products to the picking list:
Adding Individual Products #
- Click on the Plus Icon: Next to the product in the Action column, click on the plus icon to add the product to the picking list.
Adding Multiple Products #
- Select the Products: Check the boxes next to the products you want to add to the picking list.
- Click on “Add Selected to Picking List”: Once you have selected the desired products, click the “Add Selected to Picking List” button at the bottom of the table.
Exporting Search Results #
The WP Racks plugin allows you to export the search results for reporting and analysis. You can export the data in various formats:
- Copy: Copy the data to the clipboard for quick use.
- Excel: Export the data to an Excel spreadsheet.
- CSV: Export the data to a CSV file.
- PDF: Export the data to a PDF document.
